Lottie Moon Christmas Offering 2011

Every year during the Christmas season, our church comes together to bless our world through the the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO).

If you are new to our church, the LMCO is our denomination's (44K+ churches) collective effective to offer prayer/financially support for our missionary families spreading the name of Jesus outside of USA/Canada.  Bottom line, we can do more as a whole than we ever could separately.

This year's LMCO theme is *His Hands/His Heart/His Feet* and the national goal is $175M.

If you are wondering why is this offering called *Lottie Moon*, gather your family around the computer and check this out.  She is a hero to our faith.

This Sunday (December 4th) starts a specific week of prayer where we will join hearts and pray for our mission efforts in selected cities:

DAY 1: Tokyo ; DAY 2: Jerusalem ; DAY 3: Karachi ; DAY 4: London ; DAY 5: Johannesburg ; DAY 6: Dongguan ; DAY 7: European City ; DAY 8: Rio de Janeiro

Along with your prayers, we are encouraging you to give a financial gift throughout the month of December to the LMCO which is above and beyond your regular tithe/offering.  You can give your financial gift during the general offering time and make sure to use the special LMCO offering envelope (inserted in your prayer guide you will receive this Sunday) or just specify "Lottie Moon" in the memo line of your check.
