Operation Christmas Child 2011

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is our church's effort to partner with Samaritan's Purse to pack and deliver a shoe box full of toys, candy, clothing, etc. which will be delivered to children around the globe who are less fortunate and need to hear or read the good news of Jesus in their own language.

We are asking that your family pack AT LEAST one shoe box per member of your family.  A family of two is challenged to pack 2 shoeboxes.  A family of five is challenged to pack 5 shoeboxes.  You can learn more about how to pack a shoe box at their website or call the church office with your questions.

This year, we are adding a new element to our OCC efforts.  We have planned an entire night for your family called the OCC Family Experience on Wednesday, November, 16th, 6:30 at CABC.

The OCC Familiy Experience will provide a fantastic opportunity to bring parents and kids together to celebrate what they've done in packing and sending shoeboxes.  During the OCC Family Experience, volunteers will guide families through a series of stations and hands-on activities that help to illustrate for kids what happens to the boxes they’ve packed.

Please note, this is NOT a packing party.  Instead, we encourage you to download the OCC Parent Packet and complete your OCC packing activities and family devotions BEFORE coming to the OCC Family Experience. Download the OCC_Orange_ParentPacket.

If you cannot make the OCC Family Experience, then bring your packed shoeboxes to church by Sunday morning, November 20th for the Prayer Dedication during our Celebration Service.
