XA Student Ministry Update, 1-27-2011

Welcome! This is just a little weekly update I send out to encourage parents of teenagers at CABC and keep them informed. If you want out of this group or prefer it sent to another address, please let me know! If you were previously a part of this group, but are no longer…well you won’t be getting this message! Maybe the rest of us can help spread the word around!

This Sunday morning at 9:00am  we will finish up our video series on the Bible by answering two questions, “Is the New Testament more important than the Old Testament?” and “Why are there so many different versions of the Bible?”

Sunday evening is INSIDEOUT beginning at 4:30. We will begin a new series, “Picture Perfect” which I am really excited about since it takes an honest and realistic look at our families. Series and first session description is located below! After our large and small groups, we will then transition into our Afterglow, which this week will be hanging out and eating pizza at our house (224 Wendover Ln). We will return to church at 7:30, although parents can pick up from there as well!

My goal for early next week is to plan out our schedule over the next few months. I’ll be letting you know about some really cool upcoming opportunities which take place during the weekends and will likely lead us to adjust our Sunday routine.

Finally, be sure to mark your calendars for “Evening of Elegance”, the Valentine Banquet our students will host for our Senior Adults on  Sunday Feb 13. We will be spending time during INSIDEOUT preparing students for their roles serving that evening. Unless told otherwise, we are asking students to wear a nice white shirt/blouse and black pants/skirt. Don’t forget, students involved in the skits/entertainment will be rehearsing on Wednesdays at 6:30.
