XA Student Ministry Update, 4-14-2011

This Sunday morning (9:00) we will continue our “Why are there so many churches?” series as we begin to explore some of the history and distinctives of several Protestant denominations. This series has been a unique change of pace and a lot of fun!

Immediately afterward our D.C. Mission team will be leaving at 10:00! Please be in prayer for our us throughout the week: Jon Hobgood, Naomi Trowbridge, Adrian Richards, Jesse Clifton, McKenzie Thompson, Jonathan Morris, NIckie Trowbridge, Abby Jernigan, Cooper Bass, Kristen Young, Ben Flournoy, Ryan Herrmann, Jonathan Durbin, and Holly Leonard!

For those not going on the trip, there will be an opportunity to help fill Easter Eggs with candy in the Fellowship with our Children’s Ministry Leadership at 6:00 this Sunday April 17. And don’t forget to donate some candy this Sunday morning! We will not meet Wednesday April 20.

Easter Sunday April 24, we have been asked to hide the Easter Eggs and blow up balloons (both big jobs)  for the Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast. Try to be here early, no later than 8:45!

Don’t forget that Registration Forms are available and $50.00 deposits are now due for Global Youth Camp July 11-15! I’ll be sharing more details in the weeks to come for those who haven’t been to camp with us yet!

Finally, looking ahead to our Caswell Beach Fall Retreat, we have the option of attending either the weekend of Sept 17-18 or Sept 24-25. As far as I know there is no advantage one week or the other or preference on my end, so let me know if one weekend or the other works better for your family and we will go from there.
